Job summary

Olsson invites a summer 2027 engineering student intern to join the Substation and Power Generation team. You will perform meaningful, hands-on work that links classroom learning to real-world electrical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

Job Description

As a summer 2027 engineering student intern with Olsson's Substation and Power Generation (Power Delivery) Team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career.

Depending on your area of interest you could learn things like:

• CAD design processes and standards
• Physical arrangement and protection for medium voltage >1kV, High voltage >69,000V, and Extra high voltage >230kV systems.
• Substation Structure and Foundation design
• Interpreting geotechnical information
• Equipment mounting, basic steel member analysis, basic steel node analysis
• Basic foundation design principles and analysis

You bring to the team:

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
