Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in civil engineering (undergrad or graduate) program.
• Flexible hours to accommodate school schedule.
• Paid internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering staff with building permit reviews.
• Assist in review of utility and road cut permits.
• Assist staff with field inspections and investigations.
• Investigate traffic issues, perform traffic counts, surveys and studies, and determine solutions to traffic issues.
• Aid in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for construction projects.
• Assist customers by answering general inquiries.
• Prepare background research on engineering topics and prepare reports
• Prepare and organize departmental lists, maps, plats, correspondence and other documents.
• Grant research & writing.
• Perform site visits as needed.
• Assist engineering staff with active construction management.
• Collect inventory of City assets.
• Data entry.
