Job summary

HDR invites Civil Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 to gain real-world experience on transportation projects in a collaborative, employee-owned culture. You’ll work under a Project Manager, apply standard engineering techniques, and contribute to multidisciplinary solutions that move people and goods safely and sustainably.

Preferred candidates are currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate engineering programs, with 2+ years toward degree, a 3.0+ GPA, and knowledge of engineering

• 2+ years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Local candidates preferred

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
