Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern in our Toledo, OH office to support project teams building development plans, specifications, calculation briefs, and construction documents for commercial, industrial, and municipal clients.

You will gain exposure across Geotechnical, Civil/Site, Environmental, and Surveying disciplines while learning from industry professionals and mentors in a collaborative, small-firm atmosphere that offers growth

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate Civil Engineering program.
• AutoCAD experience; prior internship and/or related construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering tasks to support project teams in creating development plans, specifications, calculation briefs, and construction documentation.
• Collaborate across Geotechnical, Civil/Site, Environmental, and Surveying disciplines.

As a Civil Engineering Intern for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in our Toledo, OH office, you’ll perform civil engineering tasks supporting project teams to create development plans and specifications, calculation briefs, and construction documentation for our commercial, industrial and municipal clients. You'll have the opportunity to work across various disciplines including Geotechnical, Civil/Site, Environmental, and Surveying.

Through the CEC Internship Program, you will

• Acquire practical experience applying knowledge from college courses, learn from industry experts, and collaborate with teams across functional groups and locations
• Develop a robust professional network through social events and interactive activities
• Collaborate closely with a mentor in your discipline to tackle real-world challenges
• Participate in workshops to help foster interpersonal skills within the workplace and prepare students for success in their full-time careers
• Current enrollment in an undergraduate Civil Engineering program
• AutoCAD experience; and
• Prior internship and/or related construction experience preferred
