Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, invites budding civil engineers for an internship focused on supporting substation and high-voltage infrastructure projects in Baton Rouge, LA. You will assist in preparing civil/structural design documents, perform calculations, and learn standards such as NESC/IEEE while gaining field exposure.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required; a power focus is preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.
• Possess skills in the following areas: steel and concrete design, structural analysis, and proficient use of common office software.

Responsibilities

• Work with a project team to create or modify civil and structural design documents and drawings under direct supervision.
• Perform engineering support tasks such as basic calculations and structural analysis with minimal supervision.
• Learn and apply standards and document management practices; visit job sites for hands-on training.
• Travel occasionally as project needs require and assist with additional assignments.
