Job summary

Olsson is seeking a summer 2027 engineering student intern in the Kansas City area to contribute to civil design projects for military bases, VA campuses and government facilities.

You will assist with grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout, and prepare calculations and reports, with construction documents produced in AutoCAD Civil 3D. The role emphasizes teamwork, learning, and real-world experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Working knowledge AutoCAD preferred; Civil 3D is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conventional civil design including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout.
• Prepare calculations and write technical reports.
• Produce construction documents in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Contribute as part of a project team for infrastructure projects.
