IMEG is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern in Ontario, CA, to work closely with experienced engineers and consultants on engineering analysis, design, field inspections, writing reports, preparing permit applications, site drainage and grading designs, and learning the civil engineering trade. Over 10-12 weeks, this internship offers hands‑on experience supporting active project work in a collaborative environment.

In this role, you will support project work while helping the team stay aligned with project budgets, cross‑functional coordination needs, project goals, and client expectations. The team supports survey, transportation, and municipal work across Southern California and the Southwest, delivering resilient, environmentally responsible infrastructure.

What You’ll Bring

Required Education

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required

Required Experience

Required Skills/Abilities

• May be required to assist with field duties such as surveying and materials testing
• Strong interest in design consulting
• Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs, CAD software and BIM
• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

Preferred

• Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred

Salary Ranges (by jurisdiction, in compliance with local laws):

State of California Hourly Range: $22.00 - $24.00

State of Nevada Hourly Range: $22.00 - $24.00

Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
