Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for our Gold River office (Sacramento area).

You will assist on environmental assessments, renewable energy projects, and waste facility work, with exposure to Geotechnical, Civil/Site, Environmental, and Waste Management disciplines. You will tabulate lab and field data, help prepare reports and construction drawings, and may support AutoCAD tasks based on experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering program.
• Prior internship and/or related engineering and construction inspection experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and via email.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work both independently and within teams.
• Valid driver's license required; local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support in-office engineering tasks and field activities related to environmental assessments and renewable energy projects.
• Assist with data collection, laboratory and field test data, and preparation of technical reports.
• Contribute to site civil design, stormwater systems, and construction drawings where applicable.
• Support landfill and waste facility projects including QA tasks and monitoring activities.
