Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) Gold River, CA, is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will support both in-office and field activities across environmental assessments, renewable energy projects, and landfill facilities.

You will tabulate lab data, compile reports, assist with site design and cost estimates, and may support AutoCAD tasks depending on your experience. This is an in-office internship with mentorship and learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering program.
• Prior internship/related engineering and construction inspection experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and via email.
• Organizational skills are required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support in-office and field activities across environmental assessments, RNG, solar, and landfill facilities.
• Tabulate lab and field test data; compile technical reports and cost estimates.
• Assist with site civil designs, stormwater systems, and prepared drawings/specifications.
• Support AutoCAD designs depending on experience.
• Engage with office staff, clients, and contractors; participate in workshops and mentorship.
