Job summary

LJA Engineering, Inc. Land Development Civil Engineering Intern in Charleston, SC offers a hands-on internship that runs mid-May through the first week of August.

It is an in-person program, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, where you’ll work alongside experienced engineers on real projects and gain practical design and field exposure. You’ll receive mentorship, participate in site visits and Lunch & Learn sessions, develop professional skills, and join a culture focused on teamwork,

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year of college and pursuing a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Strong work ethic and motivation to learn about the company and industry.
• Good organizational and written/spoken communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and pay attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments with direction from experienced engineers.
• Shadow operations to learn project phases and day-to-day workflows.
• Take on assignments supporting larger projects and develop professional skills.
• Engage in company culture through social engagement activities and multidisciplinary learning.
