Job summary

JT Engineering, Inc. invites civil engineering students to join our four Wisconsin offices (Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, Eau Claire) for the Summer 2027 internship. This hands-on program lets you contribute to highway and bridge projects while gaining real design and construction experience.

You will work under experienced engineers, use AutoCAD Civil 3D, perform basic design calculations, assist with reports, and participate in site visits to see projects from concept to completion.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Support highway and bridge design tasks to add value on active projects.
• Draft roadway layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D under guidance.
• Perform basic design calculations and assist with engineering tasks.
• Prepare design reports and technical documents for team coordination.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and daily progress reporting.
• Check field data and calculations to maintain project integrity.
• Help with CAD drafting or cost estimating to learn project lifecycles.
