Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) invites energetic Environmental Interns for the Summer 2027 program in Charlotte, NC.

You will work closely with project managers, geologists, and environmental scientists to gain hands-on experience in data collection, management, and presentation across investigations, remediation, and compliance projects. Qualifications

• Current enrollment in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic technical competency, and demonstrated skills in engineering/scientific judgment, and mathematical-applications.
• Ability to work effectively with team members as well as independently.
• The ability to participate in field work.
• Core competency in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Prior internship and/or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with data collection, management, and presentation.
• Support field sampling and observations.
• Assist with office data management and evaluation.
• Contribute to report preparation and documentation.
