STV is seeking an enthusiastic Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in a hybrid role in Louisville, KY. The position targets undergraduate and graduate candidates who will work alongside experienced staff to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.

Responsibilities include assisting with design from concept to completion, collaborating with architects and engineers, interfacing with clients and regulators, and supporting feasibility studies and technical reports.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent.
• Preference for knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD or Open Roads Designer.
• Experience or interest in AEC industry (architecture/engineering/construction management).

Responsabilités

• Assist in designing civil engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring standards compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers and stakeholders to integrate project elements.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address issues and ensure success.
• Support feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments for design decisions.
• Prepare technical reports, narratives and development applications.
• Contribute to development of engineering designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Learn and apply current engineering standards and procedures on assigned projects.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals and documentation for projects.
• Perform other tasks to support project goals and team objectives.
