Job summary

PEC is offering a Civil Engineering Internship for Summer 2027 in Fort Collins, CO. The Engineering Intern will assist with design on multiple projects, perform standard calculations, and prepare design deliverables using BIM/CAD software and hand calculations.

Under supervision, you will draft/model designs, coordinate with design staff, and produce construction documents in compliance with codes. Ideal candidates are pursuing an Engineering BS with a GPA of 3.0+ and are entering junior or

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a BS degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Student entering junior or senior year preferred.

Responsibilities

Design calculations by hand and by computer software.
Drafting/modeling of engineering design.
Coordination with other design staff.
Construction document and specification production in compliance with applicable building codes/design criteria.
Reviews project deliverables for compliance with design checklists and drafting standards.
Organize project information and files according to corporate standard practices and workflows.
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.
