This posting is for Summer 2027 Internship opportunities. IMEG is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern in Rock Island, IL to support engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading design. Over 10-12 weeks, you will gain hands‑on experience while learning the civil engineering trade alongside experienced engineers and consultants. You will contribute to project documentation, coordination, and job site observations while helping the team work within project budgets and meet project goals and client expectations. This role supports municipal, transportation, and public works projects, delivering resilient, environmentally responsible infrastructure.
A multi-office civil team active in transportation, municipal, and bridge work across the Quad Cities region. Construction materials testing, CE&I, bridge inspection, and roadway design experience. Municipal infrastructure work in Bloomington, Moline, Peoria, and at Rock Island Arsenal. School-district surveys, layouts, and water-system projects.
State of Illinois Pay Range: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications.
