Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Murray, Utah office for Fall 2026 or Summer 2027. This internship is designed to build hands-on skills and ease the transition from student to professional.

Interns will be assigned duties that provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience in civil engineering. The role is intended for a student who has completed at least one year of study and is pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering; recent graduates continuing with a Master’s are

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with at least one year of study completed.
• Recent graduates may apply if they will continue with a Master’s degree.
• Enrollment in the most recent term and intent to pursue advanced studies after the internship.

Responsibilities

• Internships provide hands-on experience and help bridge classroom learning with professional practice.
• Assigned duties offer a broad, well-rounded learning experience within the field of study.
• Intern 1 is the completion of the first year of qualified study.

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to work in our Murray, Utah office.

This position is expected to begin in either Fall 2026 or Summer 2027.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
• Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study
• Intern 1 – completion of first year of qualified study

Qualifications

• Candidate must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and must have completed at least one year of study.
  Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.
  Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
