Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Greenwood Village, Colorado office. This internship is not remote and offers hands-on experience with real projects in civil and environmental engineering.

You will use software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and more to analyze, design, and QC deliverables while learning federal, state, and local regulations and Kimley-Horn’s standards. This role provides professional growth in a collaborative, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's).
• Majors include Civil/Environmental Engineering or related fields such as Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering.
• Engineering Technology is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil design, planning, permitting, and analysis across multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines.
• Learn and adhere to federal, state, and local regulations as well as Kimley-Horn practices.
• Interns will learn software programs like AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Greenwood Village, Colorado (CO) office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
• Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
• Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in one of the following majors:
  • Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
  • Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
  • Engineering Technology

Hourly Range: $27-$31
