Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Boca Raton, Florida office for an internship. This position is not remote and offers hands-on experience across Civil, Mechanical, and related disciplines.

Interns will work with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and other industry software while learning regulatory practices and client-driven design processes. You will collaborate with project managers and teams across disciplines to deliver analyses, drawings, and deliverables for multiple

Qualifications

• Pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters).
• Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Biosystems, Chemical or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• ABET accreditation is in progress during the internship period.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
• Learn and apply regulations and practices of Kimley-Horn and its clients.
• Gain familiarity with software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Boca Raton, Florida (FL)office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
• Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.
• Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in one of the following majors:
  • Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
  • Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
  • Engineering Technology
