Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Appley Valley, MN office. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities include using technical software daily to analyze and QC client deliverables, supporting pre-construction civil design, and collaborating across disciplines to realize client visions for the future built environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in civil and/or environmental engineering or related fields.
• Majors include Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• Enrollment in a program that will lead to an engineering degree with eligibility for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, permitting, and analysis across projects.
• Collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ visions for the built environment.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and company standards.
• Learn software programs specific to disciplines such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Appley Valley, MN office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
• Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
• Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in one of the following majors:
  • Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
  • Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
  • Engineering Technology

Rate: $28-29 hourly
