Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Riverside, California office for an internship. This on-site role offers exposure to civil design, permitting, and multi-disciplinary collaboration on projects of varying size.

Interns will gain hands-on experience with software like AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, and GIS while learning local and federal regulations and Kimley-Horn standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Civil/Environmental or other listed majors.
• Currently enrolled as an engineering student eligible for an internship.
• Willingness to learn multiple software tools used in civil engineering design.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, permitting, and analysis.
• Support project managers and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
• Develop familiarity with regulations and company practices for project compliance.
• Interns will learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, GIS.

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Riverside, California (CA)office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
• Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.
• Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in one of the following majors:
  • Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
  • Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
  • Engineering Technology

Hourly Range:

$31 - $32
