Job summary

Rick Engineering Company in San Diego, CA seeks a Principal Engineer Designer to lead land development projects with a multidisciplinary team. You will advance grading plans, drainage, and earthwork calculations from concept through final design for subdivisions and road projects in Southern California.

Ideal candidates have CA code knowledge, AutoCAD/Civil 3D proficiency, and are on track to CA PE licensure within 12 months. EIT is preferred and growth opportunities are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 4 years experience in land development or equivalent (8 years in work history).
• Experience taking grading plans from concept to final; maps and subdivision plans.
• Knowledge of California codes, standards and procedures preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidate will have 4 years experience in land development plus BSCE or the equivalent work experience of 8 years.
• Experience must include the ability to take grading plans from conceptual design to final plans, as well as preparation and processing of maps and plans for subdivision and land development projects, including road design, drainage and earthwork calculations.
• Must have knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards and procedures preferably in California.
• AutoCad/Civil 3D experience required.

EIT preferred, ability to obtain CA PE License within 12 months of hire preferred.
