Actalent is seeking a Civil Engineering Consultant for a long-term utility infrastructure project based in Paulding County. You will perform QA/QC on civil projects, report daily to the Project Manager, and collaborate with teams to ensure project success in water resources work.

The role involves subsurface underground utility engineering focused on water systems, with outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Field Technician.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Experience in utility engineering, specifically water, wastewater, and water systems.
• Proficiency in subsurface underground utility engineering with a focus on water.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.

Job Title: Civil Engineering Consultant

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Civil Engineering Consultant for a long-term utility infrastructure project in Paulding County. You will be involved in residential and commercial utility infrastructure upgrades, ensuring quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) while reporting daily to the Project Manager over the Water Resources Engineering Group.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

Work Environment

You will work in teams of 2-3 Engineering Technicians, each led by a Lead Engineering Technician. The role involves outdoor work, requiring adaptability to weather conditions. The position offers a 10-12 month contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential to become a permanent member of the water resources team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Macon, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
