Actalent is seeking a Civil Engineering Consultant for a long-term utility infrastructure project based in Macon, GA, with work in Paulding County. The role involves QA/QC duties, daily field reporting to the Project Manager, and collaboration with the Water Resources Engineering Group.

It is a contract-to-hire opportunity in a fully onsite setting. The position requires at least 2+ years as an Engineering Field Technician, ability to work outdoors, and experience in water/wastewater utility

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Field Technician.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Experience in utility engineering, specifically water, wastewater, and water systems.
• Proficiency in subsurface underground utility engineering with a focus on water.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.

You will be involved in residential and commercial utility infrastructure upgrades, ensuring quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) while reporting daily to the Project Manager over the Water Resources Engineering Group.

Work Environment You will work in teams of 2-3 Engineering Technicians, each led by a Lead Engineering Technician. The role involves outdoor work, requiring adaptability to weather conditions. The position offers a 10-12 month contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential to become a permanent member of the water resources team.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Macon, GA.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
