Job summary

Fehr Graham Engineering & Environmental is seeking a Branch Manager for our Champaign/East Peoria, IL offices. You will lead a civil engineering team, drive business development, and collaborate with the CEO on strategic planning.

You’ll steer operations, manage profitability and revenue, and mentor staff while delivering high-quality client solutions. The role blends client leadership with technical oversight in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or related field is required.
• Eight years or more of experience in staff supervision, client relations, and/or business development and project management.
• Experience in the consulting industry.
• Licensed in your respective discipline.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day branch operations and personnel in Champaign/East Peoria offices.
• Develop market opportunities and client strategies with senior leadership and marketing.
• Turn prospects into clients by building relationships and trust.
• Maintain client relationships with key decision makers.
• Lead projects and ensure accurate invoicing within budget.
• Prepare client contracts, statements of qualifications, and fee proposals.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to clients and teammates.
• Monitor market trends and industry developments.
• Recruit, coach and mentor staff.
• Attend meetings and industry events.
