Job summary

LaBella is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer in Latham, NY to contribute to design concepts, calculations, and project execution across multiple regions. You will mentor junior staff and oversee drawings and specifications, supporting projects from design through construction closeout.

The role requires a civil/environmental engineering background, 4–10 years’ experience, and a PE or progress toward PE within 24 months. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil and/or Environmental Engineering.
• 4–10 years’ experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 24 months.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D; Revit a plus.
• Familiarity with hydraulic/process modeling software.
• Experience with water/wastewater systems and public works projects.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to all phases of water/wastewater projects including the development of design concepts.
• Performing and reviewing detailed calculations, working within teams in a collaborative manner and mentoring junior staff.
• Overseeing design staff in, and contribution to, the production of effective and high-quality drawings and specifications.
• Supporting projects throughout construction as they progress to final closeout.

Job Duties

Salary Range:$85,000 - $110,000 per year The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil and/or Environmental Engineering.
• 4-10 years’ experience.
• PE or the ability to obtain within 24 months.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Revit experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with hydraulic/process modeling software is preferred.
• Experience with water supply, treatment, storage and distribution systems; experience with wastewater collection, treatment and disposal systems; experience with various forms of treatment processes for both water supplies as well as wastewater treatment systems.
• Experience with public works projects from planning and funding, design and entitlement, public bidding and construction administration, inspection and commissioning.
• Ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, self-motivated with a strong desire to grow a career in the water/wastewater engineering field.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Team members across the organization.
