Introduction

Join the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) engineering team and help shape the future of the State of Wisconsin's transportation infrastructure!

WisDOT is recruiting to fill multiple Senior level Civil Engineer Transportation positions located in the Division of Transportation System Development (DTSD) offices throughout the State.

This is a continuous recruitment. Applications will be reviewed biweekly!

Positions are located in various regions across Wisconsin, including Southeast, Southwest, Northwest, North Central, Northeast, and Central Office bureaus. Click here to view a map of all regions.

Position Summary

These roles involve performing professional engineering duties in areas such as design, construction, utilities, soils, planning, traffic, and maintenance. Under general supervision, you will work independently with significant authority, requiring creativity and interpretation.

Salary Information

The salary range is $80,870 to $99,403 annually, with an additional $2,080/year for licensed Professional Engineers. Internal candidates' pay is determined by the agency's pay plan. A 12-month probation period applies.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an ABET-accredited engineering program with a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in engineering, or possess a PE license (registered in Wisconsin or able to obtain within 3 months from another state).
  • At least 4 years of engineering experience post-degree.
