Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Civil Engineer to lead civil design and engineering projects on the Starbase Development team. You will manage projects from conception through construction, coordinating with engineers, architects, and construction teams to build out the Starbase campus as the gateway to Mars.

The role requires a Bachelor's in civil engineering and 2+ years of civil design experience, with Texas EIT/PE licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in civil technical design.
• Licensed EIT or PE in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for civil projects.
• Perform calculations supporting the civil infrastructure design of cut/fill, grading and drainage, stormwater control facilities, water quality and distribution.
• Oversee the civil aspects of construction in the field, including resolving design and construction conflicts in the field in real time, quality control, testing, and commissioning of systems.
• Collaborate on civil design projects with architectural design teams, construction teams, utility operational teams, facilities maintenance groups, and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal utility stakeholders, AHJs, contractors and subcontractors.
• Manage project controls, prepare cost estimates and project schedules; actively drives projects to meet target budgets and timelines.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time, prioritizing pragmatic, fast-moving solutions.
