Civil Engineer - Site Design - 2-5 years experience - Hybrid

raSmith is a growing multi-disciplinary civil, structural engineering, and land surveying firm with over 45 years of experience. We work on projects nationwide from our offices in Wisconsin, Illinois, and California.

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to contribute to projects that positively impact communities. The primary responsibilities include:

  1. Pre-development due diligence, exhibit preparation, and site engineering plans such as site and paving plans, grading, erosion control, and utility plans.
  2. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and prepare stormwater management plans and reports.
  3. Conduct regulatory research and permitting.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the role:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • EIT certification or Professional Engineering licensure preferred.

  • Experience with water and sewer systems, parking lots, roads, and erosion control from planning through construction.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology and hydraulics software, and Microsoft Office.
