Job summary

raSmith is seeking a Civil Engineer – Site Design with 0-2 years of experience to join our Site Design Services division. You will assist engineering teams with pre-development tasks and prepare site plans, grading, and utility drawings for projects nationwide.

Applicants should have a BS in Civil Engineering, US accreditation, and ideally an EIT; proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office is preferred. Hybrid work options and comprehensive benefits are provided.

• EIT certification is highly preferred.

Civil Engineer - Site Design - 0-2 years experience - Primary Responsibilities:

• Assisting engineering teams with pre-development due diligence, exhibit preparation, preparation of site engineering plans, including site and paving plans, grading plans, erosion control plans and utility plans.
• Assisting engineering teams with the supporting calculations and preparation of stormwater management plans and reports.
• Completing regulatory authority research and permitting.

Requirements

Civil Engineer – Site Design - 0-2 years experience - Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university and some applicable work experience
• EIT certification is highly preferred
• Experience in design of site-related elements for retail, commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, hospitality, mixed-use or redevelopment projects is preferred.
• Able to solve basic engineering problems and have good decision-making skills.
• Have excellent communication, detail orientation, interpersonal skills, and be a team player.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office are highly preferred.
• Applicable U.S. based work experience.
