Job summary

SOC LLC is hiring a Civil Engineer for an onsite, full-time role at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM. The candidate must obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret clearance and have a Civil Engineer background with DoD familiarity.

Responsibilities include lifecycle SME work, design reviews, submittal evaluations, and delivering technical solutions. ABET accreditation, PE, and five years of experience are preferred for this challenging position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license preferred/required.
• Minimum five years of relevant Civil Engineering experience.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.
• Experience with DoD projects is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME across project lifecycle from conditions to design and construction.
• Evaluate submittals, provide technical solutions, and prepare modification packages.
• Review plans and drawings for new construction and layout changes.
• Participate in technical design reviews and requirements validation.
• Recommend schedule, manpower, and funding adjustments.
• Assess submittals and provide technical approach assessments.
• Prepare and present briefings to KAFB counterparts and clients.
• Translate interview insights into draft deliverables.
