Job summary

Furtado & Associates, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support the Project Manager on large public works projects.

You will contribute to design reviews, calculations, and documentation for infrastructure initiatives in the Puget Sound region. Candidates should have a Civil Engineering degree, 0–3 years of experience, and familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 0–3 years of engineering experience.
• Self-motivated and dependable in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Ability to quickly learn additional software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in delivering large civil projects in Seattle.
• Coordinate with engineering staff and other departments.
• Review and process drawings and submittals.
• Review plans and specifications for accuracy.
• Perform engineering calculations and designs.
• Prepare technical documents and CAD plans.
• Research and apply agency standards.
• Support other duties as needed by the Project Manager.
