Position Overview

We seek a Civil Engineer/Project Manager to oversee planning, design, entitlement, and construction of various projects. Responsibilities include ensuring project quality, managing staff, consultants, stakeholders, and providing technical guidance and leadership. The role offers flexibility to work from our Grand Rapids or Scottsdale offices, or remotely in Idaho and Northern Arizona markets.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan, design, and manage civil engineering projects such as land/site development, roads, water systems, sewer, and drainage systems.
  2. Prepare and review proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, specifications, drawings, and reports.
  3. Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, regulators, and public agencies.
  4. Monitor project progress, quality, and performance; implement corrective actions as needed.
  5. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  6. Serve as the primary contact for project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Foster positive relationships, manage expectations, and provide regular updates.
  8. Identify and mitigate risks, manage changes and conflicts.
  9. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance and provide technical support.
  10. Lead, motivate, and mentor project team members.
  11. Promote a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
  12. Contribute to process improvements within the engineering team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 7+ years of civil engineering and project management experience, preferably in land development.
  • Successful track record with large-scale projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and similar software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
