Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Alaska offices in Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Juneau. This hands-on role focuses on transportation design with diverse projects across Alaska, offering growth and exposure to a wide range of clients.

Ideal candidates bring B.S. in Civil Engineering, PE eligibility, and 5–15 years of experience, including cold regions work. Strong collaboration skills and a drive for precise, timely results are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Alaska Professional Engineering License, or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• 5 - 15 years of experience; 5+ years of cold regions experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Designs and manages a variety of projects for public and private clients.
• Work on multidiscipline design and construction projects in Alaska.
• Lead teams and manage contracts on multiple projects concurrently.
• Prepare design drawings and calculations for civil projects.
