Actalent is seeking a Civil Engineer - Project Manager (PE/PM) for our Portland, OR office. The role requires a PE license and extensive experience in infrastructure design, multidisciplinary project work, and leadership of teams from planning through approvals and construction.

You will lead varied projects, perform code analysis, and coordinate with clients and agencies to secure design and permit approvals while mentoring staff and ensuring technical excellence.

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering degree is required.
• PE license is required or candidate must be eligible for licensure.
• Experience in civil engineering design, construction, and land development preferred.
• Ability to lead a team through design development, construction documents, and contract administration.
• Strong technical and communication skills are essential.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our dynamic and rapidly growing office. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in civil engineering and a strong interest in infrastructure design, sustainable development, and multidisciplinary project work. You will lead and manage diverse projects from initial planning through design coordination to final approvals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop projects from conceptual planning to coordination of project development through design, agency approvals, and construction.
• Perform code analysis and research on technical aspects of a project.
• Organize and coordinate with the project team.
• Interact with clients and agency staff to attain design and permit approvals for the vision of the project and technical solutions.
• Provide oversight and mentorship to civil staff on various professional and technical efforts.

Essential Skills

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience in civil engineering design, construction, and land development.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, or ability to be licensed, in Washington, Oregon, and/or California.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team through design development, construction documents, and contract administration phases.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale site development projects.
• Experience with fast-track, advanced-tech projects is a plus.
• Proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $155000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
