Tetra Tech is seeking a Civil PE with strong technical design experience to join our Orlando, FL office. The ideal candidate will have expertise in hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, and site civil design to support a variety of municipal water and wastewater projects. This role is ideal for a licensed engineer who thrives in hands-on design, analysis, and modeling work across pressure pipe systems, FEMA floodplain compliance, and stormwater modeling tools such as InfoWater, ICPR, and PCSWMM.

Your Role:
Perform hydraulic modeling of water distribution and wastewater collection systems, including pressure pipe networks
Develop and analyze stormwater management systems using ICPR, PCSWMM, and InfoWater
Prepare FEMA floodplain analyses and support compliance documentation
Lead and contribute to site civil design efforts including grading, drainage, stormwater facilities, and utility layout
Prepare engineering reports, construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions for water infrastructure projects
Support permitting activities and collaborate with regulatory agencies
Provide QA/QC for design calculations, drawings, and deliverables
Assist with mentoring junior engineers and reviewing design submittals
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida required
6+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure design
Proficiency with hydraulic modeling (e.g., InfoWater, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS)
Hands-on experience with stormwater modeling tools (e.g., PCSWMM, ICPR, HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS)
Familiarity with FEMA regulations, floodplain analysis, and permitting
Strong technical writing and design documentation skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
