Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer to contribute to the design and management of municipal and infrastructure projects that strengthen our communities.

You will lead design through construction, mentor junior staff, and interact directly with clients in a collaborative, employee-owned environment focused on quality and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, 3+ years of municipal civil experience, and a PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in municipal or general civil engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform and lead the design of municipal and civil engineering projects.
• Manage project tasks, budgets, and schedules with limited oversight.
• Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conduct field inspections, site visits, and construction observations.
• Coordinate with clients, government agencies, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Review technical documents for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Mentor and assist junior engineers and technicians.
• Participate in project meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and client satisfaction efforts.

Goals & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience, and abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in municipal or general civil engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office applications.
• Solid understanding of municipal design standards and project delivery.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions.
