Job summary

Thomas & Hutton in the Southeast seeks a Civil Engineer - Designer - Engineer in Training to help shape land development projects. You will work with experienced mentors on residential, commercial, and industrial sites, using Civil 3D and AutoCAD to produce accurate drawings and models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 3+ years of experience designing landdevelopment projects.
• EIT or PE registration preferred (or ability to obtain PE within one year).
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Client-service mindset and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site development construction drawings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Design water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Develop engineering design considerations and support permitting efforts for land development projects.
• Coordinate regularly with clients, project managers, and internal discipline teams.
• Produce and refine models in Civil 3D, ensuring accuracy and project standards.
• Manage tasks to meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
