Job summary

Actalent in Winchester, VA is seeking a Civil Engineer to join a collaborative project team designing industrial, commercial, and residential land development in Northern Virginia and Eastern West Virginia.

You will contribute to planning and design of site development, drainage, and stormwater systems using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and GIS, working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and public agencies.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of civil engineering experience in land development projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design and site development.
• Experience in drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and sediment control.
• Ability to assist in hydraulic and stormwater system design.
• Strong written and oral communication with clients and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop civil engineering projects for land development.
• Produce detailed design plans using AutoCAD, Carlson, and Civil 3D.
• Prepare site plans and ensure compliance with standards.
• Assist in hydraulic and stormwater system design.
• Develop project schedules and manage timelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate activities.
• Support project managers and senior engineers with analysis.
• Maintain relationships with colleagues and partners.
