Civil Engineer (Land Development/Site Design/Stormwater)

We are seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in water resources engineering, particularly in site/land development projects. You will utilize your expertise in AutoCAD and design skills to create comprehensive plans and exhibits for various residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This role requires strong organizational and communication abilities, as you will work closely with project managers and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team throughout the planning, permitting, and construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Layout and Design: Develop site layout and design plans that comply with regulatory standards and client requirements.

Utility Design: Design utility systems, including storm drainage, water, and sewer systems, while also having knowledge of conduit and dry utility systems.

Site Grading: Perform site grading designs, ensuring compliance with ADA standards and environmental regulations.

Stormwater Management: Implement effective stormwater management strategies and erosion and sediment control measures.

Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers to establish project timelines, designs, and deliverables.

Documentation and Visual Aids: Create diagrams, visual aids, and detailed design specifications to support project presentations and documentation.

Execution of Projects: Execute projects according to outlined criteria and ensure adherence to regulatory constraints and industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of civil engineering experience, specifically related to stormwater management and stormwater design plans.

Proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with industry-standard software tools.

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to create detailed and accurate engineering designs.

Familiarity with MicroStation and Civil 3D is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
