Job summary

Kimley-Horn’s Alpharetta, GA office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Land Development team. You’ll perform site development engineering and project management for residential and commercial projects.

Preferred is a PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months) with experience in site civil design, permitting, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. This is not a remote position, and you will work with a team of professionals and contractors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks.
• Familiar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Lead land development site designs and coordinate with design teams.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules; assist in cost estimating and permitting for land disturbance.
• Develop bid packages and technical specifications; build plan sets and construction documents.
• Collaborate with jurisdictions, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time.
