Harris Civil Engineers (HCE) is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer in Orlando with 4+ years of professional experience to support land development site design and related projects. This employee-owned firm offers growth toward PE licensure and a long-term career path.

You will work within a collaborative project team on site design, drainage, and related elements, with opportunities for responsibility and professional development.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in civil site and drainage design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required or equivalent.
• EI/EIT certification preferred.
• Experience with grading, drainage, and utility design.
• Knowledge of stormwater permitting and site development processes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Perform land development site design analysis with project team members, including plans, surveys, structures, and related engineering elements.
• Prepare complete project documentation, including plans, specifications, and engineering estimates.
• Collect, assemble, and organize project data to support design and execution.
• Evaluate, select, and adapt standard engineering techniques for assigned projects.
• Plan and coordinate detailed engineering work across multiple projects of moderate size.
• Contribute to project scopes, tasks, budgets, and schedules.
• Collaborate with contractors and other project team members.
• Attend project meetings and present assigned engineering work.
