Civil Engineer Intern, EI:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Project Coordination
- Understanding of general Civil Engineering design principles
- Construction Document preparation for competitive construction bidding (a Plus)
- Experience in Site Geometry, Utility Services and/or Main design, Site Grading, Storm Drainage design, Stormwater Management, Stormwater Pollution Prevention design, and/or Local Agency Code Analysis and Implementation in Design (a Plus)
- Preparation of Project Documentation and Reports (a Plus)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited College/University
- 2-4 years of experience
- EI License CertificationExperience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, GEOPAK and/or OpenRoads (a Plus)
- Proficiency in Excel
- ICPR Experience (a Plus)
- WaterCad Experience (a Plus)
- AutoTurn Experience (a Plus)

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform civil site facility analysis and design
- Prepare conceptual designs, final design and construction plans and specifications under the direction and supervision of the Engineer of Record
- Perform engineering calculations in support of civil engineering design
- Function as a staff civil site engineering intern
- Assemble civil engineering construction and permit documents including but not limited to plans and reports
- Preparation of applications and forms for plan approvals and permitting
- Maintain and update civil engineering records and reports
- Perform intern level engineering work in the office and field related to civil engineering and construction projects
- Verify and backcheck all work prior to submittal to the Engineer of Record, project lead, project manager or supervisor
- Provide engineering support during construction
- Coordination with other in-house and out-of-office team members
- Perform related engineering intern duties and responsibilities as assigned
