Job summary

Verdantas in New Hampshire is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer III to join our team across recreational, municipal, commercial, and institutional projects. You will lead design work, contribute to permit applications, and mentor junior engineers.

The ideal candidate has a BS in civil engineering, NH PE license, 5+ years of northern New England experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D, HydroCAD/WaterCAD, and Bluebeam. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in civil engineering or related field.
  • NH Professional Engineer license is required; VT, ME, MA preferred.
  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience in northern New England or similar.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D and stormwater modeling software such as HydroCAD or similar, WaterCAD, and Bluebeam.
  • Technical experience in water and wastewater infrastructure, stormwater, and site design and permitting in NH.
  • Sound understanding of civil engineering fundamentals, including stormwater/drainage design, surface water hydrology, water and sewer systems, and roadway/parking design.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Valid driver’s license; occasional travel required.
  • Ability to complete field work, including carrying equipment and walking on undeveloped sites.

Responsibilities

  • Civil Engineering design of recreational, municipal, commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D Design work.
  • Prepare reports and permit applications related to civil engineering projects.
  • Design various civil engineering‑related projects, including site grading and drainage improvements, drinking water treatment, distribution, and storage, wastewater collection, road, trail, and other pedestrian facilities.
  • Point person in charge of the execution of the technical design and permit application preparation, with assistance from other staff on the team, reports directly to the Project Manager.
  • Serve as the engineer of record and stamp reports, plans, drainage calculations, and other documents.
  • Mentoring fellow engineers.
  • Responsible for QA/QC review.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do:

Salary Range:

The starting salary for this position is $85,000, with final compensation determined based on qualifications, experience, and licensing status.
