About The Role

Infrastructure Engineering Inc. (IEI) Houston Office has a career opportunity for a Civil Engineer II to join our team! We are a leading engineering firm known for quality and responsiveness, with a proven track record of success as a Prime civil engineering firm. The Civil Engineer II will support the Design Team and perform professional engineering work, including routine tasks under close supervision.

The primary responsibility is to manage project engineering and document control from the site field office, focusing on schedule, budget updates, correspondence logs, and RFI requests. Join us as we build a company based on Integrity, Excellence, and Ingenuity!

Essential Duties include:

  • Preparing design computations, plans, and construction documents.
  • Preparing reports, specifications, studies, and permits.
  • Analyzing technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Assisting in analyzing engineering and construction documents, procedures, and regulations.
  • Preparing quantity calculations and cost estimates.
  • Using engineering software for design documents.
  • Performing construction observation and documentation.
  • Organizing project files.
  • Presenting technical information to colleagues and clients.
  • Supporting Project, Design, and Office Managers.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering required.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience and EIT required.
  • Master's preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Managing multiple projects.
  • Applying principles of advanced calculus, algebra, and statistics.
  • Problem-solving and data analysis.
  • Reading and interpreting complex documents.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills.

Other Qualifications:

  • Mentoring junior staff.
  • Positive attitude and team participation.

Note: Must live within a commutable distance to one of our IEI offices.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
