Join Our Team as a Civil Engineer I - Land Development at RETTEW

RETTEW, an employee-owned engineering consulting firm, is seeking Civil/Site Engineers for our Land Development design team located in Lancaster, PA, and Allentown, PA. As a Land Development Engineer, you will be responsible for performing engineering design and permitting tasks for development projects across industrial, commercial, and residential markets. You will work under the supervision of the project manager and/or a senior engineer.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design for land development projects, including stormwater management, erosion and sediment control design, NPDES permitting, etc.
• Assist with field activities, material testing, CADD work, permit applications, and report writing.
• Collect data and gather relevant information or documents.
• Assist in preparing engineering deliverables and researching applicable regulations.
• Observe construction activities to ensure compliance and quality.

Program, Project, and Task Management

• Manage personal tasks effectively, adhering to deadlines and scope.
• Follow tasks through detailed steps or processes to ensure completion.

Communication and Teamwork

• Possess basic oral and written communication skills.
• Practice principles of formal/informal communication, teamwork, and leadership.
• Primarily interact with internal project team members.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
• Recent graduate to 5 years of experience.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Strong technical, design, and writing skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, and stormwater programs (Hydraflow and/or HydroCAD).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
