Lynch & Associates is seeking a Civil Engineer I to join our growing team in Wisconsin, including New Berlin and Burlington. This entry-level role emphasizes learning under supervision and applying civil design tools across municipal, site, and transportation projects.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of experience, a BS in Civil Engineering or related field, and preferably FE/EIT credentials. We support professional growth and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience; willing to train a motivated candidate.
• BS in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• FE exam or EIT registration preferred.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Completes civil engineering tasks under supervision by a Project Engineer, Manager, or Land Surveyor.
• Work with experienced staff on assigned projects.
• Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to prepare surveys, site plans, grading, utilities, construction layout, and staking.
• Design site civil, municipal, and transportation project components with design software.
• Prepare reports and permits for site civil, transportation, and municipal projects.
• Perform construction observation or field services as requested.
• Communicate with project teams across offices.
• Limited responsibilities in directing staff on project-specific tasks.
• Limited communication with clients, peers, and agencies on project tasks.
• Potential overtime to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain insurability under Lynch & Associates policy to operate company or personal vehicle.
• Assist in other assigned tasks.

Civil Engineer I

Lynch & Associates is a growing multi-disciplinary consulting firm located in New Berlin and Burlington, Wisconsin with a family-focused culture. Our core business includes civil engineering, surveying, construction observation, and municipal services. We provide innovative solutions through technology, inspired design, and client-centric customer service. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer I to join our team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 0-2 years of experience. We are willing to train a motivated candidate with a strong work ethic who is eager to learn and develop their skills.


• BS in Civil Engineering or related field of study is preferred.


• Passed FE exam or EIT registration, preferred.


• Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Essential Responsibilities:

Candidates would be required to perform the following tasks:

• Completes various civil engineering tasks assigned by a Project Engineer, Manager, or Land Surveyor and work under their direct supervision


• Work with and seek guidance from experienced staff on assigned projects


• Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D to assist in the preparation of surveys, site plans, grading plans, utility plans, construction layout, and staking
