• Ability to speak and write professionally.
• Experience and knowledge of commercial real estate site design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site layouts, grading plans, stormwater facilities, water quality practices, and utility designs.
• Assist with engineering calculations, design documents, plans, and other project deliverables.

• Interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials throughout the design and construction process.

Overview

As a Civil Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Charlotte, NC office, you'll support civil engineering and land development projects for commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential clients. You'll work alongside project teams to develop site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water quality best management practices, and utility designs. From urban redevelopment and industrial sites to schools and residential developments, you'll gain experience across a variety of projects while contributing throughout the project lifecycle-from conceptual design and permitting through bidding and construction.

You’ll collaborate with CEC's multidisciplinary teams while interacting with clients, contractors, and local government officials to help move projects from initial concept through successful completion.
