Civil Engineer I - Entry Level

Lynch & Associates is a growing multi-disciplinary consulting firm located in New Berlin and Burlington, Wisconsin, with a family-focused culture. Our core services include civil engineering, surveying, construction observation, and municipal services. We provide innovative solutions through technology, inspired design, and client-centric customer service. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer to join our team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 0-2 years of experience. We are willing to train a motivated candidate with a strong work ethic who is eager to learn and develop their skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or currently enrolled in Civil Engineering courses or related field.
  • Passed FE exam or EIT registration.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Essential Responsibilities:

Candidates would be required to perform the following tasks:

  • Complete various civil engineering tasks assigned by a Project Engineer, Manager, or Land Surveyor and work under their direct supervision.
  • Work with and seek guidance from experienced staff on assigned tasks.
  • Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to assist in the preparation of surveys, site plans, grading plans, utility plans, construction layout, and staking.
  • Design components of site civil, municipal, and transportation projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.
  • Prepare reports and permits for site civil, transportation, and municipal projects.
  • Perform construction observation or field services as requested.
  • Communicate with project teams across all offices.
  • Assist in directing staff on project-specific tasks as needed.
  • Communicate with clients, peers, and agencies on project-specific tasks.
  • Provide overtime support to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain insurability under Lynch & Associates Automotive policy to operate a company or personal vehicle for business purposes.
  • Support proposal requests, contract preparation, and project management responsibilities.
  • Assist in project budgeting and tracking.
  • Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills.
