Administer municipal sewer and stormwater construction contracts from procurement through construction and warranty, coordinating project teams and ensuring contractual obligations, schedules, budgets, and safety requirements are met. Review project plans for constructability, advise on sewer construction and risk mitigation, and coordinate technicians, consultants, and other bureau teams.
Requirements: Applicants need experience in heavy civil or underground utility construction, project management, and contract administration, including procurement, documentation, change management, and schedule and budget tracking. They must demonstrate effective communication with diverse stakeholders, knowledge of public works engineering requirements, and experience managing complex engineering projects; a relevant four-year engineering degree and four years of professional engineering experience are the typical qualification, and an Oregon PE license is required within six months of hire.
