Gateway Engineers in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Civil Engineer for a full-time, in-person role. An E.I.T. or P.E. license is required, and the ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience.

Join a multi-location civil engineering firm delivering public and private projects. You will coordinate with clients, contractors, and staff, perform design and calculations, draft plans, visit sites, and ensure compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• EIT or PE license required.
• 4+ years of civil engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with Pittsburgh design and permitting is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Civil 3D and design software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and staff.
• Perform engineering calculations and design for construction drawings and specs.
• Assist in preparation and QC of plans, specs, and permit applications.
• Provide project information to Project Manager for inclusion into specs.
• Draft plans using CADD software.
• Visit project sites to review conditions and progress.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local codes.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
• Represent the company at meetings and public hearings.
